Welcome to our Intro to Yoga Weekend. We meet Sat. & Sun. from 12:30-4p and look forward to meeting you.
This 2 day workshop is open to both the raw beginner and continuing students who want to review some basics. The focus will be placed on learning the fundamental poses that make up a well rounded postural practice: standing poses, seated poses, twists, forward bends and backbends. The emphasis will be on clear instructions, correct physical alignment and body mechanics, breathing, and meditation.
The beauty of cultivating a yoga practice is that anybody can reap the benefits. Whether you are younger or older, consider yourself fit or not, yoga has the power to calm the mind and strengthen the body. How? The practices are uniquely effective at overcoming so many of life’s stressful challenges, by offering us tools to build focus, stamina and resilience. It offers us a way to regain calm and connection with ourselves in healthy ways.
Both Andrea and Jennifer have been practicing and teaching yoga for many years and are part of the Yoga of Energy Flow Yoga Teacher Training.
